Course outline

Day 1

What is Structural Integration, where did it come from, and what does it do?

What is fascia, where is it, and why is it so important? 

The role of seeing in the process of body reading

The role of palpation in assessment and treatment

How to contact and manipulate fascia

Perceiving fascia’s role in relation to other tissues, i.e., skin, muscle, nerve and bone

 

Day 2

How to recognize Structural Integration with our eyes and hands

The role of movement analysis in determining where to work

How to contact and manipulate fascia to address strain and misalignment

Using visual and palpatory body reading to create regional treatment goals

Evaluating effectiveness

This course presents Structural Integration concepts and techniques. The course is not a Rolfing® Structural Integration course, is not affiliated with the Dr Ida Rolf Institute (DIRI), and does not qualify attendees to claim they are a Certified Rolfer®, are certified by DIRI, or are doing Rolfing® Structural Integration.
